OKOWA HAS OILED THE UNITY OF SOUTH-SOUTH STATES - ALPHONSUS OJO

Hon. Dr. Alphonsus Ojo has expressed confidence that the chairman, South-South Governors Forum, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa would live up to expectation in the new role as a visionary leader who is exclusively committed to the advancement of the region, and Nigeria in general.
The South-South Governors Forum, had earlier on 5th of March, 2020, at Asaba, Delta State, resolved to set up a regional security outfit, and to revive the BRACE Commission with a view to tackling insecurity, strengthening the region's economy, re-enforcing regional unity and integration.
In a media parley on Thursday, Hon. Dr. Alphonsus Ojo, said that the decision reached by the forum, when fully enacted and implemented, would position the region on the path of irreversible progress that would have a reverberating effect on the region.
He commended Gov. Okowa, for deploying his wealth of experience, political sagacity and administrative dexterity in inspiring a new thinking and vision for the region, and oiling her unity for greater accomplishments.
He described the "March 5th Asaba Accord" as a massive victory for South-South region.
Ojo stressed that the security outfit, when operational, would help to strengthen the region's security.
He praised the decision reached to revive the BRACE Commission, this he said would fortify the region's economy and engender economic growth, prosperity and development.
Alphonsus Ojo said that with Gov. Okowa as chairman of the forum, and with the cooperation from members of the forum, the forum through collaboration will intensify regional integration, foster economic development and promote prosperity in the South-South region.
