 Endorsements Trails Hessington Okolo Declaration to Contest Ukwuani Council Chairmanship




Barr. Hessington Okolo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has declared his intention to contest the forthcoming Ukwuani local government chairmanship election in Delta State.



His declaration before the supreme leader of his Ward 7, Ezhionum, Gen. Mike Ndubuisi (Rtd) and ward executives on Thursday 3rd September 2020 was trailed by wide spread endorsements. 



Party faithfuls across Ndokwa Nation were present to witness the event. 


In his speech, Barr. Hessington Okolo stated that his intention to succeed the incumbent, Ogbuefi Chukwudi Dafe, is to enable him Move Ukwuani Forwards by building on his successes with the directions of the leaders and the good people of Ukwuani in line with the Smart Agenda of the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa.


He noted that haven served the party, PDP in numerous capacities and based on his antecedents, his vision and grip on the grassroots, he believes that he will be elected massively as the PDP Chairmanship candidate for Ukwuani.


Hessington Okolo appealed to the PDP leadership and delegates in Ukwuani LGA to support his candidacy and credibility while assuring the people that he would place priority to security, human capital development, education and boost the economy of the LGA through agricultural innovations when elected.


He solicited the support of his Ward leaders and the entire people of Ukwuani as he embarks on the journey to Move the local government area Forwards.


The leader of his campaign organisation, Elder Fred Esimobi A.K.A., The Political Ogbunku, in his statement expressed satisfaction on the candidacy of Barr. Hessington Okolo. He appealed to the good people of Ukwuani to support the smart young man who he said since he has known him in politics has remained loyal, efficient and effective. He recommended that he should be placed on number one priority amongst other candidates, considering his support for the party in the state, his antecedents in Ndokwa Nation and his unmatched capacity and purposeful vision to Move Ukwuani Forwards.


He described him as a honest politician who has over the years distinguished himself and has earned the support and admiration of party faithfuls across the state.


Gen. Mike Ndubuisi (Rtd) who in his speech said that his heart were filled with joy stated that the next council chairman of Ukwuani LGA should come from Ezhionum Kingdom.


The SSA to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Political, Comrade Dike Abraham called on Ukwuani people to remember the sacrifices of Barr. Hessington Okolo, especially to ensuring that DESOPADEC duly recognise Ukwuani, the IPP step down project struggle and others, as he seeks to move Ukwuani Forwards. He further said that Barr. Hessington Okolo is a loyal party man who has commendably distinguished himself over the years.


The Ward PDP chairman, Mr. Sunday Olumor, Hon. Monday Ibobo and other persons also spoke at the event. Serving councilors, PDP delegates across the various wards in Ukwuani and the leadership of the PDP National Students Association led by Comrade Ifeanyi James Chidikwa were also present in the event in honour of Barr. Hessington Okolo.
