 OSSAI OCHONOGOR TO RECEIVE GOLD MERIT AWARD IN LAGOS




The Commissioner representing Ukwuani ethnic nationality in Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC, Dr. Ossai Samuel Ochonogor, will on 10th of October 2020 attend the Afrikanwatch Network 2020 lecture in Yaba, Lagos State where he is nominated to receive the 2020 Gold Merit Award.


The Afrikanwatch Network 2020 lecture under the chairmanship of Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, is with the theme "1999 Constitution and the Economy: what hope for the Nigerian People."


Dr. Ossai Samuel Ochonogor, is one of ten (10) people named as recipients of the Afrikanwatch Network 2020 Merit Gold Award.


Other recipients of the award are Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, Prof. Solomon Akinboye, former Dean of SPGS, UNILAG; Dr. Samuel O., Chief (Dr) Sunday Ovba, former President, Hoteliers Association of Nigeria, Lagos chapter; Sen. Florence Ita-Giwa; HRH, Oba (Barr) Rufus Olarewaju Ajayi JP, Engr. William Metieh, Senior Technical Adviser to the Presidential Taskforce on Power, Engr. Enebi Shaibu Onuchayo, Deputy Director, Inspection and Compliance, Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON). Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko, Vice President of NAGAF and Prof. Andrew Obafemi, Professional Chair and Director for Centre for Disaster Risk Management, University of Port Harcourt.


However, Chief (Dr) Nzeribe Okegbue JP; Rev. Fr. (Prof) Anthony Kanu (OSA) (Rector, Villanova); Col. (Barr) Yomi Dare retd, Dr. Ademola Azeez .(Provost, FCE, Technical Akoka, Sen. Femi Okurounmu,  Prof. Timothy  Atte, a Consultant on Defense, Security and International  Law and Military  Justice Jurisprudence  and, Tunde Ladipo (Assistant Controller-General, Nigerian Correctional Service) will   be conferred with Afrikanwatch   Lifetime Grand National  Mentor (ALGNM).


The award would be in honour of their distinguished leaderships in their various fields.


It will also honour their outstanding personalities and contributions to the society through their chosen professions.


The awardees are individuals who have impacted positively in their fields of specialisation by rendering invaluable and quality services to the Nigerian people.


Afrikanwatch Network is an online investigative publishing outfit.
