Alphonsus Ojo Congratulates Gov.Obaseki on Re-election 



....Says Okowa's Magic Has No Boundary



A former Delta Lawmaker and the Paraclete of Ukwuani people, Hon. (Dr) Alphonsus Ojo, has congratulated Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, the Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu and the Edo PDP family over the re-election victory.


In a press statement on Monday, Hon. (Dr) Alphonsus Ojo said that the reelection of Governor Obaseki was a testament that Edo people appreciate his efforts at Making Edo Great in the past four years. He praised the people of Edo for trooping out in their numbers to vote their preferred candidate and reaffirm and renew the mandate of Governor Obaseki noting that the victory "also showed that power comes from God Almighty and He will give it to whom he chooses no matter any antics of humans who arrogate to themselves God status".


He further noted that "Obaseki's victory at the polls gives him a further opportunity to continue to serve his people and fulfil their aspirations without any distraction in form of god-fatherism".


Hon. (Dr) Alphonsus Ojo further paid special tribute to the Smart Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa for his immense role in the reelection victory of Governor Obaseki. Ojo noted that the "Okowa's Magic" has no boundary and it has been bringing glory to Deltans and the PDP all over. Governor Okowa is a smart and an astute politician whose key role in ensuring victory at the polls for his brother Governor has firmly and resolutely brought the old Bendel under the big umbrella of the PDP.


Ojo noted that with this victory there is no more politically dissenting voice in the South South Governors Forum which will build unity of purpose and strengthen the developmental initiatives of the region.


He also congratulated the PDP National Campaign Council led by the indefagitable Rivers State Governor H.E. Governor Nyesom Wike for the hard work and sacrifice which led to the Edo state victory, while also commending INEC and the security operatives for ensuring a peaceful and fair election.


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday declared H.E. Godwin Obaseki of the PDP winner of the Edo state gubernatorial election held on Saturday, 19th of September, 2020, with 307,955 votes against 223,619 votes recorded by Mr. Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the APC.
