 OSSAI OCHONOGOR CELEBRATE DELTA AT 29

The member representing Ndokwa Nation in the board of DESOPADEC, Dr. Ossai Samuel Ochonogor, has congratulated Deltans on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the creation of the state, today, August 27, 2020.

In his message of commemoration, Dr. Ossai Samuel Ochonogor said that despite the various tribes and ethnic groups in the state, Deltans have worked together in unity, peace and harmony since the past 29 years.

He stressed that Delta state has made tremendous progress in the last 29 years of harmonious coexistence as all areas of the state are witnessing transformation.

The DESOPADEC Commissioner praised the past governments for their efforts, contributions and sacrifices to the development of the state.

While congratulating Deltans on the occasion of the 29th anniversary, he called on residents in the state to double their support for the administration of His Excellency, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa.

He said that the state government is more determined to bring more prosperity to the people.

Ochonogor poured encomium on the current administration led by His Excellency, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, who he said, has been working effortlessly to ensure development spreads across the 25 Local Government Areas in Delta State.

"Indeed His Excellency has ensured that all Deltans benefits from his SMART Agenda where prosperity is being made available for all". 

Dr. Ossai Samuel Ochonogor extolled the prowess of Governor Okowa, especially in promoting the Ideals of democracy and rule of law. "Ekwueme has proven himself to be a leader of high ethics and morality", he added.

He said that Okowa has established a precedent in governance, with unmatched records of excellence, accountability and responsiveness. "His achievements in the past five years has remained unmatched and worthy of emulation". 

Ochonogor further noted that the Governor has piloted the affairs of the state awesomely, breaking the chains of poverty through the job and wealth creation programmes his administration has made available to Deltans, especially the youths.

He commended the various ministries and commissions in the state for their patriotism to the state. "Delta State will not be where it is today if not for the collaborative efforts of the various ministries and people who worked together harmoniously in ensuring that tasks are being done", he said.

He urged Deltans to continue to work together in promoting peace and Harmony in all parts of the state, as it is the only thing that can ensure a peaceful state and a good running of the government.

"It is my wish that Delta and Deltans continue to experience peace, love, unity and progress", he said.
